What You’ll Do
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage the full employee experience across the entire lifecycle. This includes recruiting and hiring, as well as onboarding, employee handbook compliance, offboarding, and exit interviews.
- Manages employee disciplinary, terminations, and investigations.
- Negotiate, and administer benefits programs. Work with benefits broker, providers, and leadership team to establish best fits for employee coverage and the firm. Provide coaching/assistance with new and existing employees in navigating the enrollment process.
- Administer FMLA, accommodations, and other leaves of absence requests.
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing performance, concerns or other issues.
- Assist leadership with the implementation of Firm-wide employee training initiatives and career development process.
- Manage electronic and HR personnel files to Ensure oversight of accurate, consistent and updated physical and electronic records
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employees’ compensation, benefits, and personal information.
- Ensure compliance across all functions.
- Maintain subject matter expertise regarding these rules and regulations at the federal, state, local and industry level, advising Firm Administrator.
- Administer policies and procedures that support the firm’s philosophy, culture & strategic goals.
- Collaborate and partner with leaders on initiatives (e.g., compensation and salary planning, performance management, staff member recognition, etc.) to support the needs of the firm.
- Coordinate key total reward activities including annual merit cycle, incentive program administration, market benchmarking, job evaluation and retention focused activities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Ability to develop and recommend sound business and HR strategies that support growth.
- Performs other duties and projects assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field
- Three (3) + years of Human Resources experience
- Coaching approach to working with employees at all levels of a Firm
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws and regulations
- Experience with interpreting and providing guidance on HR policies
- Ability to interact and influence all levels of Firm with confidence, build trust and rapport
- HRIS experience preferred
- Ability to respond to continually changing priorities and coordinate multiple projects
- Strong computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong customer service, interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to balance working independently with being a collaborative team member
Location: Stillwater, MN
Employment Type: Full-Time
Experience Level: Mid-Level
Salary Range: $60,000–$75,000 annually, depending on experience.
