Minnesota Paid Leave Law

In 2023, Minnesota legislators enacted a new law establishing a comprehensive paid leave program for employees who are unable to work due to a serious health condition (their own or a family member’s), a qualifying exigency, safety leave, bonding leave, or pregnancy and recovery. Funded by contributions from both employers and employees, the program allows employers the choice to participate in the state-run plan or offer a private plan with equal benefits.

This one-hour free training session will walk through employer responsibilities, the operational mechanics of the state-facilitated program, and the top compliance risks to watch. The new law goes into effect January 1, 2026—don’t be caught off guard.
