On May 28, 2019, attorney Joe Van Thomme was elected to serve on the Board of Directors for Standpoint. Standpoint, formerly known as the Battered Women’s Legal Advocacy Project, stands to promote justice for domestic and sexual violence victims.

Standpoint provides services to domestic and sexual violence survivors, advocates, attorneys and other professionals across the state of Minnesota. It is comprised of attorneys and advocates who provide free legal advice and services to victims.
