Amanda serves as the lead litigator in our banking & finance group as well as the head attorney for our labor and employment practice. A tenacious advocate, she routinely assists financial institutions, businesses and municipalities successfully resolve disputes while keeping their overall business goals in mind. Amanda is devoted to partnering with her clients to understand their overall business goals and then works to efficiently and effectively resolve matters in or out of the courtroom.  Amanda is a highly-skilled litigator and negotiator yet, she firmly believes – especially in labor and employment law – that the best way to serve her clients is to develop sound legal strategies and practices to help them avoid litigation altogether. When litigation is necessary, Amanda is proficient in State and Federal courts. She has successfully represented clients in jury trials and appeals alike; prevailing in the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Minnesota Supreme Court, the Minnesota Court of Appeals, and the Wisconsin Court of Appeals. Amanda combines pragmatic guidance with aggressive representation to produce positive legal outcomes.

A native of South-Central Wisconsin, Amanda earned both her undergraduate and Juris Doctor degrees at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  While pursuing her law degree, she worked for Wisconsin Supreme Court Chief Justice Shirley S. Abrahamson.  Amanda’s special passion is the well-being of animals.  Amanda regularly represents clients on issues of importance to animals.  Amanda previously chaired the Animal Law Section of the Minnesota State Bar Association and is a founding member of Wags & Whiskers Animal Rescue of Minnesota; a non-profit animal rescue serving the Twin Cities and Western Wisconsin.
