Areas of Practice
Amanda practices in business, commercial, and banking litigation with an emphasis on creditors’ remedies in defaulted loan scenarios, including workout, foreclosure, liquidation, receivership, bankruptcy, collateral recovery, judgment collection and enforcement. Amanda provides practical and strategic advice to banks, secured lenders, commercial landlords, parties to executory contracts, trade creditors, and purchasers of claims and assets in default, insolvency, and bankruptcy scenarios. Amanda regularly advises on issues involving cash collateral, DIP financing, 363 sales, plan confirmation and claims resolution.
Amanda also prosecutes non-dischargeability litigation and regularly defends financial sector clients in avoidance and other adversary proceedings. She has recently defended financial institutions against borrowers seeking damages arising from dual tracking or failure to comply with mitigation obligations under HAMP.
Amanda joined Eckberg Lammers from a large law firm in Minneapolis where she represented some of the nation’s largest banks, insurance companies and publicly traded companies in courts across the country. Prior to that, Amanda clerked for the Honorable Gregory F. Kishel of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Minnesota.
