Areas of Practice

In working with municipal clients, I am fortunate to work with city officials, citizens, and stakeholders who are passionate about the success of their communities. It is a privilege to provide counsel to those who work hard to build vibrant cities and strengthen their communities for future generations.

Christopher Nelson is an attorney in our Municipal Law Group as well as in our Labor and Employment practice. He has developed an exceptional acumen for guiding local government clients throughout Minnesota, representing numerous municipalities prior to joining Eckberg Lammers.

Christopher works diligently with his clients across a variety of issues facing municipalities to protect their interests and help them achieve their goals, including:

  • Comprehensive plans
  • Contract negotiation and preparation
  • Easements
  • Employment Law
  • Land development
  • Real Estate
  • Zoning ordinances

He also has experience helping business and public sector clients effectively navigate the full spectrum of employment law by providing general counsel and litigation support.

Christopher attended Occidental College graduating in with a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and from William Mitchell College of Law with a Juris Doctor, magna cum laude. After graduation from law school, Christopher worked in the public sector, where he clerked for the Honorable Ross L. Leuning of the Third Judicial District gaining experience on civil, criminal and family law cases.
