Rebecca Baack

Areas of Practice

As a prosecutor, my primary responsibility is to ensure our communities are safe, vibrant places to live, work and visit. To that end, I strive to build strong relationships with law enforcement, city officials and the community at large to provide smart, tailored, proactive legal services.

Rebecca is a key member of our municipal law practice, serving as a prosecutor for the Cities of Woodbury, Bayport, Northfield, Faribault, Oak Park Heights, Lake St. Croix Beach, Mahtomedi, Dundas, and East Bethel. She also guides Eckberg Lammers’ municipal clients through conflict resolution and litigation matters. Baack brings more than 11 years municipal law experience to her role at Eckberg Lammers. Over that time, she’s accumulated an in-depth knowledge of the criminal court system and developed a keen acumen for civil court actions, both of which help her most effectively and efficiently fulfill clients’ needs.

Baack believes one of the most critical components for success in municipal law is communication. That’s why she’s proud to act as the primary liaison to her clients’ law enforcement agencies, maintaining open and constant contact with police chiefs, officers and city staff to ensure consistent flow of information during all active case work.

Rebecca is an active member of the Twin Cities Organized Retail Crime Association; a cooperative of law enforcement officials, prosecutors and asset protection representatives from area retailers. The group combines resources in an effort to improve information sharing, creating a more efficient way to identify and criminally prosecute chronic offenders.

Rebecca is committed to community service and outreach, particularly in areas of education and pro bono legal services. She serves on the Tubman Alliance Systems and Service Integration Think Tank; a board that facilitates discussions and advocates for policy implementation to better protect domestic abuse victims and reduce offender recidivism. Rebecca is also actively involved in the MSBA Mock Trial program and serves as an attorney-coach to the Stillwater Area High School Mock Trial team.

She makes her home in the St. Croix River Valley with her husband and their five children.
