Areas of Practice
Rebecca Christensen is an attorney with our municipal law practice group, serving as a lead prosecutor.
Christensen has more than seven years experience in municipal prosecution. Prior to joining Eckberg Lammers, she was a prosecutor for the Cities of Eagan and Mendota Heights for five years. Since then, she has become our lead prosecutor for the Cities of Woodbury, Bayport, Northfield, Faribault, Oak Park Heights, Grant, Lake St. Croix Beach, Mahtomedi, and East Bethel. She also takes on assignments for other client municipalities as a conflict prosecutor. This experience affords her in-depth knowledge of the criminal court system which, when paired with her acumen in civil court actions, allows her to more effectively and efficiently represent clients.
As part of her comprehensive practice, Christensen serves as the primary liaison to law enforcement agencies, maintaining open and constant communication with police chiefs, officers and city staff. This ensures that all parties are involved in each phase of a criminal case.
Rebecca is an active member of the Twin Cities Area Regional Organized Retail Crime Prevention Alliance; a cooperative of law enforcement officials, prosecutors and asset protection representatives from area retailers. The group combines resources in an effort to improve information sharing, creating a more efficient way to identify and criminally prosecute chronic offenders.
Rebecca is committed to community service and outreach, particularly in areas of education and pro bono legal services. She serves on the Tubman Alliance Systems and Service Integration Think Tank; a board that facilitates discussions and advocates for policy implementation to better protect domestic abuse victims and reduce offender recidivism. Rebecca is also actively involved in the MSBA Mock Trial program and serves as an attorney-coach to the Stillwater Area High School Mock Trial team.
She makes her home in the St. Croix River Valley with her three daughters.
