What You’ll Do

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Open and maintain physical and electronic files; pleading, discovery and document logs; process expenses and other administrative functions.
  • Prioritize multiple projects and heavy volume sufficient to manage progress on each case and meet applicable deadlines.
  • Prepare legal documents, letters and memoranda so they are formatted in accordance with court procedures and office specifications; and that they are well written by applying knowledge of standard legal formats, legal terminology, citations, English, grammar, punctuation and spelling.
  • Maintain calendars, schedule meetings, arrange meeting locations and make all necessary arrangements including court reporter and setting up technology.
  • Provide administrative support to the estate planning team
  • Back up phones during the lunch hour
  • Special projects as assigned

Is This You?

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 – 4 years’ experience working as a legal assistant supporting two or more areas of law preferred, but not required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong written and verbal communications
  • Ability to work both in a team setting and independently
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Ability to exercise tact and discretion with confidential and sensitive information
  • Ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of case management system Aderant Total Office preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of DocuSign and Drobox, preferred.
