Overview
Amanda Johnson is an attorney in the firm’s Civil Municipal law group, serving as City Attorney for several municipalities in the Twin Cities area. With a passion for community collaboration, Amanda sees herself as a champion for the cities she represents. She is deeply attuned to the goals and ideas of City Councils, Commissions, and city staff, ensuring their visions are realized with thoughtful guidance and practical solutions. Her practice spans a diverse array of municipal matters, including land use and zoning, community development, code enforcement, parks and recreation, condemnation, contract negotiations, data practices and more.
Prior to serving as City Attorney, Amanda gained valuable experience working for local developers and builders, providing her with a unique perspective on development projects. This experience allows her to effectively navigate projects involving both public and private organizations fostering solutions that benefit all stakeholders.
Amanda lives in the east metro with her husband and children. When she’s not serving her communities, she may be found chasing chickens around her yard, pretending she has a green thumb or testing her latest recipe on her family.
