Overview
Annie McCahery is an attorney in our Municipal Law Group who focuses on criminal prosecution and civil municipal representation for the Cities we serve. Annie’s knowledge and experience in municipal areas includes code enforcement issues, ordinance review and drafting, land use violations, land use agreements, civil municipal litigation, municipal prosecution, data practices, law enforcement trainings, and vehicle forfeitures.
A recent graduate of Mitchell Hamline School of Law, Annie has served as a certified student attorney for our office since January of 2019. Throughout law school, she worked as a certified student attorney for the Ramsey County Public Defender’s Office and Mitchell Hamline Legal Assistance to Minnesota Prisoners Clinic. She also worked as a summer law clerk for the Innocence Project of Minnesota and volunteered for the Minnesota Justice Foundation.
Annie’s passion for community outreach expands into the organizations she is involved. Specifically, in law school, she was a member of Mitchell Hamline’s Criminal Law Society, Legal Association of Women Lawyers, and Asian Law Students Association. In undergrad at the University of St. Thomas, she was a Mentor for Linkages Diversity and Inclusion and President of the Chi Theta chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha Honor Society. She also made contributions to a chapter in the publication of Leadership for Social Justice: McCahery, A. (2015).
