James joined Eckberg Lammers three years ago, where he gained valuable experiences as a law clerk, contributing to various cases and gaining experience across the firm’s 20+ practice areas. Additionally, his previous roles include serving as a judicial extern for Chief Judge John R. Tunheim of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, a securities specialist II at U.S. Bank, and as a judicial extern for Judge John S. Adams of the County of Orange for the Superior Court of California.

James earned his Bachelor of Science degrees in economics and business administration from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, an MBA from the University of St. Thomas Opus College of Business, and a J.D. from the University of St. Thomas School of Law.

Outside of his legal practice, James enjoys hiking and stargazing, traveling, watching sports, and trying new restaurants.
